Our client is a leading UK membership organisation. In response to growing customer needs, behaviours and expectations, the Caravan Club were looking to future-proof their organisation by finding new areas for expansion and ensuring their services would continue to provide value and meet the needs of their loyal membership base.

The answer

A strategic plan to position their insurance offering for the future, and to ready the organisation to deliver this. This included a Landscape Review to capture the “outside-in” context of the insurance industry and its implications on future options, and an Options Assessment to identify the opportunities and associated impact, fit to brand, entry barriers, risks, resource, route to market, structure and technical and operational scalability.

The outcome

  • Identifying that growth could be achieved through innovative distribution methods built on their existing strengths as a major, trusted and independent player in the UK tourism market, fulfilling their ambitions whilst also reinforcing their brand and serving their members in a unique way.
  • A shortlist of options and specific actions which were carried forward by the Club as part of their strategic business plan.
